The Quartet of Nations Region 31 convention was being staged in Nottingham for the first time. Marketing was ramped up to entice not just the barbershop community but also the general public.

Flyers were distributed all over Nottingham city and nearby towns and the Royal Concert Hall, where the event took place, also put up posters to advertise the event. A printed programme was also distributed to each delegate.
